De Vries’ practice session chance with Williams in Spain
Williams have announced for the Spanish GP practice 1 session, Mercedes Formula E driver and Reserve Mercedes F1 driver, Nyck De Vries will be participating in Practice 1.
A new rule was introduced in 2022 which stated that all teams must run 2 junior drivers in a free practice session over the season.
Nyck De Vries will be replacing Alexander Albon for the FP1 session.
Red Bull’s upgrades
Red Bull are reportedly bringing an aero package to the upcoming Spanish GP which will not only make the car more aerodynamic, but also lighter.
The car will reportedly be 7kg less in Barcelona as a lot of parts have reportedly been redesigned to lose weight and make the car more aerodynamic.
Aston Martins new AMR22B
Aston Martin will bring a major upgrade package for the Spanish GP weekend and will be called ‘AMR22B’.
This car will only be available to Lance Stroll so they can compare the two cars on the same weekend.
If the new upgrades are effective, it is likely Vettel will have the same car for Monaco. However, if they don’t work, Aston Martin are likely to rethink and bring another major package around Silverstone.
Leclerc crashes Niki Lauda’s Ferrari
Current Ferrari driver, Charles Leclerc, drove Niki Lauda’s Ferrari at the Historic Monaco event.
Leclerc spun the historic Ferrari at Rascasse after the brakes reportedly failed on the Ferrari.
